Woman's farewell gifts score 60 Mark Six wins for colleagues

Netizens were surprised by a coincidence when a woman gave her colleagues 60 Mark Six lottery tickets as farewell gifts on her last day of work, all of which won HK$40 prizes.

According to a social media post, the woman purchased the tickets at HK$10 per bet, all with the same numbers including 2, 4, 7, 18, 25, and 30.

She surprisingly discovered 10 days later that the tickets had matched three numbers - 2, 4, and 7 - winning the seventh prize with a fixed payout of HK$40 each.

The official Mark Six website showed that the number of winning bets for the seventh prize, which was drawn on April 3, reached 97,863.5, a significant 45 percent increase compared to the previous draw.

Statistics indicate that the probability of matching three numbers in the Mark Six lottery remains at 1.64 percent, while the chance of winning the jackpot is just 1 in 14 million.
