Major road closures and traffic changes in Causeway Bay for 59th Hong Kong Brands and Products Expo

Motorists and shoppers face extensive traffic restrictions in Causeway Bay and Tin Hau from December 13 to January 5 2026, as the Transport Department implements special measures around Victoria Park for the 59th Hong Kong Brands and Products Expo.

Gloucester Road between Kingston Street and Causeway Road, together with Sugar Street, Great George Street, Paterson Street, Kingston Street, Cleveland Street, Hing Fat Street (except franchised buses and green minibuses), Electric Road and Lau Li Street may be temporarily or intermittently closed whenever crowd levels require it.

Pedestrian zones will continue on weekdays from 4pm to midnight and on weekends and public holidays from noon to midnight along sections of Lockhart Road and Great George Street.

Bus stops outside Victoria Park on Causeway Road will be relocated, some green minibus and taxi stands on Paterson Street, Sugar Street and Lau Li Street may be suspended, and the Hing Fat Street public car park will be closed to regular vehicles at various times between December 10 and January 6, 2026.

Authorities urge the public to use trains, buses or trams to avoid congestion, adding that police will adjust arrangements on the spot depending on crowd and traffic conditions.
