The MTR Corporation announced that rail services are being restored in phases after Typhoon Ragasa, but several major lines—including the East Rail Line and the Light Rail—will remain suspended until at least this evening due to severe damage caused by fallen trees and overhead cable failures.
The railway operator urged passengers not to rush to stations and to check service arrangements before traveling.

- South Island Line: Limited service between South Horizons and Lei Tung Station (15-minute intervals); no service between Admiralty and Lei Tung
- Tseung Kwan O Line: North Point to Po Lam (15-minute intervals);Tiu Keng Leng to LOHAS Park (20-minute intervals)
- Tung Chung Line: Limited service between Hong Kong Station and Kowloon Station (15-minute intervals); no service to Tung Chung
- East Rail Line: Limited service between Admiralty and Hung Hom Station (15-minute intervals); cross-border section to Lo Wu/Lok Ma Chau suspended
- Tuen Ma Line: Limited service between Tsuen Wan West and Diamond Hill (15-minute intervals); other sections suspended

The MTR said during the typhoon, over 3,500 MTR staff and contractors maintained limited services on underground sections. More than 20 engineering trains and crews are on standby across the network to begin repairs as weather conditions allow.
