The students – six boys and 14 girls aged three to six – developed cough, runny nose, sore throat and fever since April 15, among which nine sought medical attention.
But none of them required hospitalization, a spokesperson of the CHP said in a statement.
Health officials have contacted the school to arrange for its staffers to adopt necessary infection control measures against respiratory infections. The school has been placed under medical surveillance.
The kindergarten has also been included in the compulsory testing notice to exclude the possibility of Covid infection, given the symptoms of upper respiratory tract infection are similar.
The kindergarten - Women's Welfare Club (Eastern District) Hong Kong Lai Kwai Tim Day Nursery, has also been ordered to close for disinfection.
