IMF proposes appointment of Bessent's chief of staff to No. 2 post

The International Monetary Fund's managing director on Thursday proposed that Dan Katz, US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent's chief of staff and point person on China, be appointed to fill the fund's No 2 post, the IMF said in a statement.
