Seoul and US in talks to minimize forex impact from US-bound investment

South Korea's finance ministry is in talks with the United States to minimize any impact on the dollar-won market from a US$350 billion (HK$2.73 trillion) investment package that is part of a trade deal between the countries, it said in a statement on Sunday.

The ministry declined to comment on media reports that setting up a bilateral currency swap could be one topic of discussion, according to the statement.
