612 virus patients in hospitals, 30 serious

As of Sunday, the total number of confirmed coronavirus intected patients in the mainland had reached 84,849, excluding Hubei and Wuhan, once the coronavirus epicenter, where the new coronavirus emerged in December.

Also, 612 patients are still being treated, with 30 in severe condition.

Hubei has reported 68,139 confirmed patients, and 63,625 have been cured and discharged from hospitals. In Hubei 4,512 lives were lost to the disease. 

Altogether 79,603 people had been discharged in the mainland after recovery, and 4,634 had died of the disease in the mainland, excluding Hubei and Wuhan.

There are still four suspected patients in the mainland.

Also, 19,207 close contacts are under medical observation after 1,517 were discharged on Sunday.
