Three more security guards at the Golden Crown China Hotel in Macau have been confirmed with Covid-19, authorities announced on Tuesday.

Earlier, two security guards of at the hotel were infected as they did not wear masks properly while contacting people under quarantine.

Of the three new cases announced on Tuesday, one was a 26-year-old Nepalese security guard. He was a colleague of the previously confirmed case.

He mainly worked on the 15th and 18th floors of the hotel, and worked the shifts of a colleague previously confirmed of Covid-19.

The second security guard worked on the 10th floor of the hotel and led the a quarantined guest later confirmed with Covid-19 into a room. The guest was a 31-year-old man who arrived on September 18 from Turkey and transit from Singapore.

The third security guard could have been infected while contacting an infected colleague.

The Macau government launched a universal test for citizens. As of 3 pm today, no positive case has been found in the community.
