Henderson Land to bid for New Central Harbourfront site

Henderson Land Development (0012) co-chairman Martin Lee Ka-shing said the developer will sumbit a tender for a commercial site in New Central Harbourfront.

He believes Grade A office rents in the core area will be stable as some tenants filled up vacancies after some companies left the International Finance Centre.

The group is also accelerating the transformation of agricultural land into residential land.

Its hotel, Miramar Hotel and Investment (0071) had an average occupancy rate of 40 percent this year. During weekends, the occupancy rate was 60-70 percent.

Henderson Land raising its stake in the hotel is a long-term goal, Lee said.

The company is considering an incentive for people to get vaccinated.
