The group criticized the government's arrangements which affect their expenses. Affected tenants have to bear at least HK$4,500 of unnecessary rent each month. The government should expand options for them including vacant public housing units, interim housing in Shek Lei or urban areas until they can move in to Chun Yeung Estate, the group said.
They suggested the government increase ex-gratia allowances and also waive rent for a year as compensation for using the estate as a quarantine center.
