Dump truck overturns at entrance of Tseung Kwan O-Lam Tin Tunnel

A traffic accident occurred near the entrance of the Tseung Kwan O-Lam Tin Tunnel towards Tseung Kwan O, when a dump truck overturned on its right side on Saturday at 12.52pm. 

The driver, initially trapped, managed to climb out on his own, sustaining an injury to his eye. 

Images from the scene show the overturned truck having crashed into several panels of the tunnel's right wall, with debris scattered on the ground.

Due to the accident, the only lane near the Administration Building at the Lam Tin Interchange (towards Tseung Kwan O) remains closed. Drivers are advised to use alternate routes, as traffic in the area remains heavy.

Police are investigating the cause of the accident.
