Around 9 am today, an employee of a jewelry store on King's Road located in North Point found that the metal sheet gate of the store was doused with red paint, along with the words "pay your debts" written in Chinese.
The employee immediately contacted the police for assistance.
After an investigation, the officers have listed this incident as a property damage case and are currently looking for the vandals who committed the crime.
The store owner, surnamed Ho, said that he had been running this business for over 20 years, and it was the first time his store was vandalized by red paint.
It is understood that the store owner did not owe any debt and was not in dispute with anyone.
The security camera footage of the store was later handed over to assist the police in their investigation.
