One of Asia's top rock bands Mayday will launch a four-concert series at Hong Kong's Kai Tak Sports Park starting Friday (May 9), marking their debut at the brand-new venue in the city.
The performances are scheduled for May 9 to 11 and 13, with gates opening at 5 pm and shows beginning at 7 pm.
Two official merchandise booths will operate during the concerts—one at Kai Tak Main Stadium's second-floor Celebration Hall and another at Central Square.
Only credit cards and mobile payments will be accepted.
With peak crowds expected after work hours on Friday and May 13, attendees are advised to plan ahead due to anticipated heavy traffic around the venue and along the MTR Tuen Ma Line.
Early arrival is recommended to allow time for ticket checks and security screening.
Forecasts of rainy weather may further complicate travel, prompting the venue to encourage public transport use over private vehicles.
Light attire is advised, and umbrellas with long handles will be prohibited.
Attendees should review entry rules, particularly restrictions on plastic or silicon water bottles which must be under 600 milliliters and without lids and banners larger than 38 centimeters by 30cm are prohibited.
To streamline entry, ticket holders are urged to collect physical tickets in advance at one of 30 Cityline self-service kiosks across Guangdong, Macau, and Hong Kong. On-site pickup will be available but may delay entry.
Paid luggage storage will operate from 3pm to 11.30pm near key venue access points.
Cross-border travelers should note that the last Tuen Ma Line trains to Lo Wu depart at 10.59pm from Sun Wong Toi and 11.01pm from Kai Tak and 11 special bus routes, including two options connecting Lok Ma Chau Public Transport Interchange and the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge Port – will operate from Sung Wong Toi Road post-concert.
