Link Real Estate Investment Trust celebrated today the 15th anniversary of its listing in Hong Kong.

The company’s manager Link Asset Management Limited held a lighting ceremony at its office at The Quayside, Ngau Tau Kok.

The company will embark on a rebranding of its mainland assets, including launching a new website tailored for customers on the mainland.

It also kicked off the “Project Together” scheme, which will help its 20 tenants, all welfare organizations, to improve their facilities.

In his speech, Financial Secretary Paul Chan Mo-po congratulated Link on its anniversary: “The Hong Kong SAR Government is determined to expand Hong Kong REIT market, broadening investors’ choice, adding diversity and liquidity to our financial market. Boosting our REIT market will also enhance Hong Kong’s status as an asset and wealth management centre.”

He noted that as a green finance pioneer, Link has shown the way in sustainability financing, and the brighter way for Hong Kong.

“Congratulations to Link REIT on its 15th Anniversary,” Securities and Futures Commission Chairman Tim Lui said.

“REITs are an important asset class for investors and we hope to see the REIT market continue to grow in both breadth and depth. This will help promote sustainable, long-term market development and build Hong Kong as a premier global asset and wealth management centre," he said.
