A hospital in Suzhou city, eastern China's Jiangsu province, has been shut down to trace close contacts and launch an epidemiological investigation after one of its door handles tested positive for the coronavirus on Sunday, the state media China Daily reports.
Suzhou Yongding Hospital, which is in the city's Wujiang district, found the positive sample on a door handle during a routine environmental check at its fever clinic.
Fourteen medical workers who touched the door handle have tested negative, according to the hospital's official WeChat account.
On the same day, a man in Zhenjiang in Jiangsu province, who is the father of an imported infected patient, tested positive.
The man has been transferred to the local designated hospital.
