Jensen Huang Jen-Hsun, chief executive of Nvidia, said in an interview with the Korea Economic Daily that the company will unveil a "world-surprising" chip at Nvidia Global Technology Conference 2026, to be held in San Jose on March 16.
Huang said Nvidia has prepared several entirely new chips never seen before. "All technologies are approaching their limits, so everything is becoming extremely challenging," he noted. However, he added, "With a team like this (made up of memory engineers from Nvidia and SK Hynix), nothing is impossible."
Huang did not disclose the new chip's model name. Tech media speculate that it could be a more mature product based on the Rubin architecture. The Rubin architecture was first teased at Computex 2024 in Taipei and was officially launched at GTC 2025.
Another possibility is an early preview of a prototype based on the next generation Feynman architecture. Set to succeed Rubin in 2028, Feynman is expected to use A16 1.6 nanometer process technology and silicon photonics, transmitting data with light instead of electricity to push beyond the physical limits of Moore's Law.
