Sick calf issues plastic alert

Central Station | 27 Oct 2020

Hikers out in Tap Mun had an encounter with a calf that was a little more than they expected.

The calf spat out vomit containing pieces of plastic bags after it was found lying unwell on the floor.

The moment was captured by a hiker who gave his name as Peter in a photo during his hike on Saturday, which was then reposted by environmental NGO The Green Earth on its Facebook page.

Peter said that lots of hikers or campers just left garbage next to dumpsters or campsites, without realizing that cattle or wild boars could eat them, adding that they should throw them into dumpsters with lids.

Green Earth appealed to citizens not to leave garbage behind when they are out hiking.
