Hang Seng Index falls at noon on Thursday

Hong Kong stocks fell by midday on the second day in a row on Thursday.

The benchmark Hang Seng Index dropped by 322 points, or 1.2 percent, to 26,136 points by noon. The half-day market turnover was HK$130.6 billion. 

The Hang Seng Tech Index declined by 1.1 percent to 5,673 points at noon.

In the mainland, the Shanghai Stock Exchange Composite Index was flat at 4,089 points and the Shenzhen Stock Exchange Component Index dropped by 0.2 percent to 14,003 points at the midday close.
