Cathay Dragon, HK Express to fly 32 new A321neo planes

Cathay Pacific Airways (0293) announced that it will make the best use of its fleet.

Cathay Dragon and HK Express will operate 32 A321neo aircraft when they are delivered between 2020 and 2024.

The company said it has existing orders for a total of 65 new aircraft to receive by 2024, including 21 advanced Boeing 777-9 aircraft, 12 modern Airbus A350 and 32 A321neo aircraft.

It has decided that Cathay Dragon will operate the first 16 of these narrow-body A321neo aircraft upon delivery from 2020 to 2022, while the remaining 16 aircraft will join the HK Express fleet from 2022. Shares of the company slid by 1.17 percent to HK$10.16.
