The Security Bureau's eight disciplined services and its auxiliary services will hold a series of open days for the public from late March to mid-April, to mark National Security Education Day on April 15.

Various facilities, including training schools, a museum, headquarters, divisional premises, and other venues, will be open on different weekends.

The series will begin on March 29 with the opening of the Government Flying Service’s Kai Tak Division.

On April 11, there will be open days at the Hong Kong Correctional Services Museum and Community Education Experience Centre, and the Civil Aid Service Headquarters.

The "Little Grape"-themed park, located at Harcourt Garden in Admiralty, adjacent to the Police Headquarters, will open its doors on the following day.

The public can then visit the Immigration Service Institute of Training and Development and the Hong Kong Customs College on April 18, and the final open day will be held at the Auxiliary Medical Service Headquarters on April 19.

Activities on the open days will include flag-raising ceremonies, Chinese-style foot drills, rescue demonstrations, virtual reality training system demonstrations, flight simulator experiences, displays of firearms and equipment, working dogs' demonstrations, and game booths.

"These activities will help members of the public to learn more about the services' responsibilities in preventing and defending against national security risks and raise public awareness of national security," the government said in a press release.

Starting Tuesday (Mar 17), members of the public can register for free admission tickets via the websites of the relevant services.

Admission tickets are not required for the open days of the Hong Kong Police Force, the Civil Aid Service, and the Auxiliary Medical Service.
