A majority of 16 national security absconders have had their Hong Kong passports revoked, and all of them are barred from accepting funds, the government announced on Monday.

The wanted individuals are Victor Ho Leung-mau, Chan Lai-chun, Feng Chongyi, Gong Sasha, Ng Man-yan, Tsang Wai-fan, Chin Po-fun, Paul Ha Hoi-chun, Hau Chung-yu, Ho Wing-yau, Keung Ka-wai, Lam Tony, Ng Agnes, Wong Chun-wah, Wong Sau-wo, and Zhang Xinyan.

Authorities stated that they were involved in organizing, establishing, or participating in an overseas subversive organization named the "Hong Kong Parliament" along with Yuan Gong-yi, Fok Ka-chi, and Choi Ming-da, who were also on the wanted list.

All 16 individuals are prohibited from making available funds or dealing with funds, engaging in certain activities in connection with immovable property, as well as participating in joint ventures or partnerships with relevant absconders.

Meanwhile, 12 of the fugitives' Hong Kong passports were canceled, while the measure of "temporary removal from office of director" applies to two absconders.

A government spokesperson said the wanted individuals are hiding in the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada, Germany, Australia, Thailand, Taiwan and other locations, and continue to engage in activities that endanger national security.

"They also intended to incite hatred through smear and slander against the Central Authorities and the HKSAR," the spokesperson said. "We have therefore taken such measures to make a significant impact."

Additionally, authorities are considering exercising the power under Section 60 of the Safeguarding National Security Ordinance to prohibit the operation of the "Hong Kong Parliament" and the "Hong Kong Democratic Independence Union" in Hong Kong.
