Commissioner of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Hong Kong Cui Jianchun said a secure Hong Kong benefits foreign investment as his office hosted a seminar on Tuesday.

The event focused on the white paper “Hong Kong: Safeguarding China's National Security Under the Framework of One Country, Two Systems” and was attended by around 70 participants, including consuls general from Spain, Argentina, New Zealand, and Pakistan, as well as representatives from the US and European business chambers.

Cui stressed at the meeting that a safe Hong Kong is free, developed, open, and diverse; fully aligned with the “One Country, Two Systems” principle. He noted that this approach serves China’s fundamental interests while also benefiting Hong Kong residents and foreign investors.
