The Standard welcomes applications for internships. Our internship programs are for a minimum of 10 and a maximum of 20 weeks, except in exceptional circumstances. We decide on interns about three months prior to the start of the internship.

Interns usually come away with a thick pile of clips and the satisfaction of reporting on a wide range of subjects in one of the world's most dynamic cities. For successful applicants we pay a small stipend. In some cases we can help arrange housing. English is a must. We prefer applicants who have some facility in Cantonese or Mandarin but enthusiasm and a willingness to work hard are every bit as important. Web-savvy interns are especially welcome.
