Man, 60, drowned at Deep Water Bay

A man, about 60, died after swimmers at Deep Water Bay found him unconscious in the water.

The man in a swimming suit and fins was rescued by a lifeguard at around 5pm on Wednesday and rushed to Queen Mary Hospital in a coma, where he was certified dead.

On Tuesday, a 72-year-old woman also died after drowning at Silverstrand Beach in Sai Kung. She was certified dead after being rushed to Tseung Kwan O Hospital.
