Banks are adjusting their opening hours and closing branches amid the rise in virus infections.

The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corp will suspend services of two business centers in Kwun Tong and Sheung Shui from today until further notice, in addition to three retail banking outlets and another business center that have been suspended earlier.

HSBC yesterday shortened its banking hours at all retail branches - they will only operate from 9am to 4pm from Mondays to Fridays, while that of Saturday remains unchanged, from 9am to 1pm.

The bank's three mobile branches will be suspended until further notice.

Bank of China (Hong Kong) has halted services at 11 branches in Kowloon and New Territories, including in Choi Hung and The Grandiose in Tseung Kwan O.

Standard Chartered Bank (Hong Kong) adjusted the operating hours of its branches from today, opening from 9.30am to 4.30pm from Monday to Friday and from 9.30am to 12pm on Saturday. Corporate express centers have the same hours but are closed on Saturday.

Services at four branches - West Kowloon Station Express Banking Centre, Causeway Bay, Canton Road and Metroplaza - are also suspended.

Hang Seng Bank will close its Tsz Wan Shan branch from today and all branch outlets and business banking centers will be closing earlier than usual from Monday to Friday. The new opening hours are from 9am to 4pm. Saturday operations will remain from 9am to 12pm.

All Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (Asia) branches will from today close earlier at 4pm from Monday to Friday.

Saturday banking hours will remain unchanged from 9am to 1pm.

Nine of its branches will be closed from today as well, including Wong Tai Sin, as well as personal banking centers in Tseung Kwan O and Admiralty.

CMB Wing Lung Bank has suspended banking services of eight branches from today, including in Western District, Kowloon Bay and Tseung Kwan O Metro City. It adjusted its business hours to 10am to 4pm from Monday to Friday.

Fubon Bank (Hong Kong) said the service hours of all branches, from today, will be temporarily changed to 9am to 4pm from Monday to Friday and 9am to 12.30pm on Saturday.
