Mourinho targets Europa League treble with Spurs

Tottenham manager Jose Mourinho says finishing above Arsenal in the Premier League is a matter of pride for supporters, but the club must aim higher.

An 81st-minute header by Toby Alderweireld sealed a 2-1 win against Arsenal, moving Spurs to eighth and two points above their north London rivals. Son Heung Min had cancelled out an Alexandre Lacazette strike.

So Spurs are looking to finish above Arsenal for a fourth straight season.

And they can secure a place in the Europa League by finishing sixth. "I only played Europa League twice," Mourinho remarked, and he won it with Manchester United and Porto. "It wouldn't be bad to play it a third time and to win it a third time."
