Martial gives Solskjaer a three-way liftSports | 26 Jun 2020
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer saluted Anthony Martial's refined killer instinct after his hat-trick fired Manchester United to a 3-0 win over Sheffield United.
Martial struck twice in the first half and completed his first treble after the interval at Old Trafford. The France forward is the first United player to score a Premier League hat-trick since before Alex Ferguson quit as boss in 2013.
The 24-year-old's heroics stole the spotlight from teammate Paul Pogba, in a first start since September 30.
Solskjaer's side, unbeaten in 13 games in all competitions, remain fifth but are just two points behind fourth-placed Chelsea, who have a game in hand.
Solskjaer suggested Martial's form reflects hard work in training.
"Very happy for Anthony," Solskjaer said.
"The third goal was great, but for me the first and the second were better.
"He's in the box, ready to go. We've worked on that - getting in the box more often."
