Clijsters forced to delay comebackSports | AGENCE FRANCE-PRESSE 6 Nov 2019
Kim Clijsters has delayed a return to competitive tennis following a seven-year hiatus because of a knee injury.
The four-time singles Grand Slam champion last month announced plans for a comeback before 2020's Australian Open. But "I've had to make the decision I will not be able to compete in January," Clijsters, 36, said. "I'm undergoing rehab and treatment. It's a setback, but I'm determined as ever to get back to the game."
Her manager said she "made a wrong move during a workout".
