Mexico reels as hurricane makes second landfallWorld | AGENCE FRANCE-PRESSE 23 Aug 2021
Hurricane Grace killed at least eight people, including five siblings, as it tore hit eastern Mexico, causing flooding and mudslides.
The storm made landfall in Mexico for a second time near Tecolutla in Veracruz state as a storm with winds of 200 kilometers per hour.
It fizzled out as it moved inland, but not before causing widespread damage.
Seven people died in Veracruz state capital, Xalapa, and one more in Poza Rica. Among them, a mother and five of her children were buried when a hillside collapsed on their home.
While Grace dissipated after drenching Mexico City, it could develop into a new cyclone in the Pacific.
