One of the world's biggest meat processors, JBS, has paid a huge ransom after an attack believed to have originated in Russia.
It was the second big payment to hackers recently.
Hackers targeted the computers of Brazil-based JBS last week, impacting operations in the United States, Australia and Canada.
Its US subsidiary said it paid US$11 million (HK$85.5 million) in bitcoin "to prevent any potential risk for our customers."
A cyberattack in May shut the Colonial fuel pipeline network in the United States. Colonial paid US$4.4 million in ransom to regain control.
