Hong Kong is proud of its first Olympics fencing champion Edgar Cheung Ka-long. He has made history winning gold medal at the men’s individual foil event, making it the city’s first medal in the sport and second gold medal ever in the Olympics. Twelve SHKP shopping malls including East Point City and Harbour North, have prepared over 10,000 gifts in celebration of the smashing success.
As the Olympics is still going in full swing, live streaming of the competition will be offered in seven SHKP shopping malls, including East Point City, Landmark North, Harbour North, Mikiki, Park Central, Ocean PopWalk and Chelsea Heights in collaboration with Hong Kong Open TV.
Props for cheering will also be provided at the malls for passionate fans to support our athletes all the way while watching the exciting matches on the big screens at shopping malls.
Our golden boy Cheung Ka-long will participate in the men’s team foil event, along with fellow fencers Ryan Choi Chun-yin, Lawrence Ng Lok-wang and Shawn Cheung Siu-lun, on 1st August morning.
To root for them and welcome the start of the consumption vouchers scheme, twelve SHKP malls will be handing out 6,000 energy drinks for free. Over 1,000 free bottles of champagne are available for redemption at 1,000 membership points, upon spending a certain amount at the live streaming shopping malls.
To mark the release of the first $2,000 vouchers, the twelve malls have launched the SHKP 12 Malls Consumption Voucher Rewards. Members of The Point by SHKP receive complimentary shopping and dining vouchers upon spending $2,000 using the designated 4 payment platforms, WeChat Pay HK, AlipayHK, Octopus and Tap & Go, while earning membership points.
The promotion runs immediately until the end of September. Participating shopping malls include East Point City, Landmark
North, Harbour North, Mikiki, Park Central, Ocean PopWalk, Chelsea Heights, K- Point, Tsuen Kam Centre, life@KCC, Grand City Plaza and Blossom Garden Shopping Arcade.
