It's a lip-smacking offer for people who reckon they know the taste of a good wine or would like to work on perfecting the skill.

Glistening in the glass are tasting passes in the form of tokens for the Hong Kong Wine & Dine Festival.

The HK$250 Classic Pass Lite includes five tokens while the HK$500 Classic Pass has 10 tokens, discounts and a couple of wine glasses.

They became available online yesterday through the Cityline ticketing system and will be served in limited numbers.

The annual festival organized by the Hong Kong Tourism Board runs throughout November.

More than 400 restaurants will offer discounts of up to 30 percent, including special menus from 60 Michelin and award-winning restaurants.

The festival also features the first City Wine Walk, taking in Central, Wan Chai, Kennedy Town and Tsim Sha Tsui. About 50 eateries and bars are participating.
