New customs chief Louise Ho Pui-shan displayed her charms for five minutes in a red-carpet photo opportunity for news photographers at the beginning of her first media briefing yesterday.
The fit-looking Ho, 53, wore a light brown uniform and proudly took off her mask for snaps.
Standing in front of the regional flag of Hong Kong and the flag of the Customs and Excise Department, the short-haired chief kept her smile while turning left, right and center for photographers to capture a shot.
In her opening remarks, Ho spoke about two forthcoming elections which are in her husband Erick Tsang Kwok-wai's ambit as the constitutional and mainland affairs secretary.
Asked whether her husband had given her any words of encouragement, Ho answered: "We understand very well about one another's difficulties and challenges at work, and we support each other."
