The Secretary for the Civil Service, Patrick Nip Tak-kuen, joined in the fun when he ran with teenagers in a warm-up for Sunday's Standard Chartered Marathon.

Nip and lawmaker Vincent Cheng Wing-shun joined the night running sessions of the Running Crew for YTM Youth - a program offered to teenagers aged 16 to 25 in Yau Tsim Mong district by the Home Affairs Department since 2015.

"I feel so great to have a chance to run, communicate and get a good sweat with a group of teenagers of different backgrounds and races," Nip said on Facebook. "I can also prepare for the Standard Chartered Hong Kong Marathon next Sunday."

He also made new friends during the training. A teenager who had just been accepted by the Customs Department hoped the authorities could provide more opportunities and training for ethnic minorities. Nip had urged his team to look into the system.
