Running ahead of a new stretch of MTR line, a weekend bazaar gave youngsters an opportunity to demonstrate their talents and business acumen in promoting the Tuen Mun South Extension.
Co-hosted by the rail operator and the Yan Oi Tong NGO at Gold Coast Piazza in Tuen Mun, the "New Station at Tuen Mun" autumn market featured 16 stalls selling handcrafts and hand-skills workshops conducted by young people. And more than 60 other youngsters laid on busking-style performances including songs, dance and music.
The construction of the 2.4-kilometer Tuen Mun South Extension is expected to commence in 2023. The extension will extend the existing Tuen Ma Line southward from Tuen Mun Station and through A16 Station to a new terminus near the Tuen Mun ferry pier.
