Proof that Hongkongers are easygoing mariners is seen how many have tied up alongside Dream Cruises' lottery berth. There were more than 730,000 registered by yesterday for a chance to win a bracing "seacation."

The lottery has close to HK$4 million in prize value for residents vaccinated against Covid-19.

The grand prize is an "all you can cruise" annual pass to a deluxe balcony stateroom on the Genting Dream.

The stateroom prize which could host four people is worth about HK$3.8 million.

Second prize is a two-night cruise for six in a Palace Villa aboard the same ship.

That's worth over HK$100,000.

And three third prizes are two-night cruises for four people in the ship's Balcony Stateroom, worth over HK$54,000. Registrations are open until a minute to midnight on July 30, with winners announced on Dream Cruises' Facebook page on August 6 and in The Standard and Sing Tao Daily on August 11.

As things stand, that will make Dream Cruises the first to draw a big prize for a vaccinated resident.
