Kaisa Group chairman Kwok Ying-shing has ranked 19th in the 2021 Forbes China Philanthropy List, handing over cash equal to nearly 248 million yuan.
The Forbes China ranking measured cash giving in 2020 and includes donations made by individuals as well as their businesses.
On June 30, Kwok's Kaisa Group donated 120 million yuan for rural vitalization in Guangdong. The group spent 593 million yuan over five years on its rural mission. The group is also committed to fighting the Covid epidemic in China, spending 20 million yuan on disease prevention and control. The group's "Three Funds and One Foundation" platform has funded many charitable projects with a total of more than 1.7 billion yuan. Leading the China Philanthropy List this year is billionaire Alibaba chairman Jack Ma, followed by Evergrande Group chairman Hui Kayan and Tencent chief Pony Ma.
