Take your places in cultural district

Central Station | 28 May 2021

A lively 10-month run of artistic entertainment is on the cards starting next month at the West Kowloon Cultural District, with the Jazz Fest rated among highlights.

From June, people can immerse themselves in a range of dance, theater and music at the Freespace, the expansive harbor-side spaces of the Art Park and the Xiqu Centre.

Perhaps the 2021-2022 performing arts season's top draw is the annual Freespace Jazz Fest in October with indoor and outdoor music and art events. The overall event comes with free admission, but tickets are needed for some performances.

Other highlight events include the Asian premiere of American dancer and choreographer William Forsythe's interactive installation that will see Freespace transformed into an undulating labyrinth in July.

To get the ball rolling, from June 1 to 21 there will be 20-percent early bird discounts on some programs when buying tickets through the cultural district 's website or ticket offices. For information and latest updates, go to www.westkowloon.hk/season2122.
