Philip Chen Nan-lok will take the reigns at the Hong Kong Jockey Club, as his predecessor Anthony Chow Wing-kin turns 70 years old on Sunday.
The new chairman is currently a non-executive director at Hang Lung Properties.
Chen first became a member of the prestigious club back in 1987, later becoming a voting member in 2003.
The Jockey Club also announced the selection of Michael Lee Tze-hau as the new deputy chairman, who is currently director of Oxer Limited.
"Certainly in these challenging times, the club will do everything it can to support the betterment of our society, which is and always will be our purpose," Chen said after taking up office.
