Central Station | 26 May 2020

You don't need to look far for a mask anymore, as Chief Executive Carrie Lam Cheng Yuet-ngor is ready to send each local household 10 surgical masks, on top of the resuable CuMask.

"We will strive to provide masks for needy students, workers of elderly and disabled institutions, cleaners, elderly and vulnerable groups," she said.

She said 30 million surgical masks will be delivered to registered citizens' homes next month in addition to the the reusable CuMask that 3.6 million citizens have registered for, of which 2.9 million have been delivered so far.

In a document evaluating the administration's efforts against the Covid-19 pandemic, Lam said she has been adopting the "suppress and lift" strategy to adjust public health measures according to the latest developments of local outbreaks.
