Students of German Swiss International School gained some firsthand experience of helping the needy through the Project Care charity drive held on Saturday.
Joined by the school board chairman, Roland Muksch, the students distributed more than 200 care packages to those in need in Wan Chai and Pok Fu Lam. Each package contained hand sanitizers, wet wipes, face masks, hand wash, disinfectants, rice and canned food.
"The turbulence and emotional intensity of the past few months have affected all our lives and we could never have imagined the dramatic extent to which it would actually affect us all," said principal Ulrich Weghoff.
"Our students are encouraged to contribute all they can to the world we live in and our students in this project have demonstrated this."
