TVB error leaves parents startledCentral Station | 19 May 2020
Parents panicked after TVB News mistakenly reported that classes for K3 to primary three would not resume this academic year.
A picture of a TVB News report circulated widely on some parents' chat groups yesterday, with the subtitle: "Class resumption arrangements: classes for K3 to primary three will not resume this academic year."
Some parents went on the Education Bureau website to check, but it only shows the arrangements for May 5. TVB News later apologized for the mistake. They also said that K3 to primary three students will be resuming classes on June 15 as scheduled.
The government announced earlier that the first stage of class resumptions will start with secondary three to five students on May 27. The second stage will be secondary one to two, along with primary four to six on June 8 and the third will be K3 to primary three on June 15.
