Victor Cha takes new role at HKRI

Victor Cha Mou Zing has been appointed executive chairman of HKR International (0480).

He is the husband of Laura Cha Shih May-lung, who among other positions chairs the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.

Victor Cha's appointment saw him stepping down from the position of deputy chairman and managing director of HKR International.

Cha, 71, is a sibling of Madeline Wong Cha May-lung and Johnson Cha Mou Daid, who are also directors of the company.

His move to executive chairman and other roles means regular remuneration of HK$901,000 monthly plus incentive payments.

Cha used to be an independent non-executive director of Soho China (0410) as well as an alternate independent non-executive director of New World Development (0017).

Madeline Wong Cha has also been appointed as non-executive deputy chairman of HKR International.

She will receive remuneration amounting to HK$234,795 monthly for taking that role.
