Sun Hung Kai Properties (0016) yesterday reported a bumper Easter across its malls.
Twelve malls, including East Point City, Landmark North and Park Central, attracted 7.74 million visitors and generated revenues of HK$458 million over the four-day break, representing 17 percent and 18 percent year-on-year growth respectively. General manager of the leasing department Fiona Chung Sau-lin said sales at East Point City rose 13 percent year-on-year to HK$167 million while sales at Landmark North increased 13 percent to HK$150 million.
Meanwhile, sales SHKP's 15 major malls - which include apm, Tai Po Mega Mall, World Trade Centre, The Sun Arcade and Yuen Long Plaza - rose 10 percent year-on-year to HK$200 million over the same period. General manager of the leasing department Maureen Fung Sau-yim said sales at apm hit HK$40 million as business boomed in the beauty, catering, gift and entertainment sectors.
Sales at Tai Po Mega Mall rose 10 percent to HK$26 million while Yuen Long Plaza's sales was also up 10 percent to HK$10 million.
