Fashion editors love Antonio Marras because his elaborate embellishments and rich textures make for great pictures.
And now they have even more fashion fodder: Swank is hosting the Italian designer's first Hong Kong fashion-retail pop-up at its Central Building atrium space.
Herringbone wallpaper, artistic appliques and large printed Fratelli Pois characters decorate the walls of the pop-up, while the floors are covered in Casa Marras carpets.
Hand-drawn paper lampshades tell the story of the fantastical world that is Marras' autumn/winter collection.
This season, inspired by his home base of Sardinia and team of artisan families, Marras presents lace- and flower-embroidered blazers, winter coats with upcycled swatches, as well as layers of color blocks and patchwork tailoring.
