Wine and dine flavors to flow in seacation aboard Genting Dream

Genting Cruise Lines will bring a food and spirits seacation onboard the Genting Dream for the first time with "C'est La Sea" next month as part of the Wine and Dine Festival.

Guests can indulge in gourmet flavors, fine wines, spirits and cocktails.

"We are excited to be able to bring this to enhance the cruise experience," said Genting president Kent Zhu Fuming.

"Dream Cruises is also happy to collaborate with the Hong Kong Tourism Board to host a session of 'On-air Tastings - The Art of Pairing: Johnnie Walker & Chocolate' this year."

The ship also features an array of restaurants serving all kinds of food from casual to a more formal dining - including seafood grill, steakhouse and teppanyaki. Chinese and other Southeast Asian specialties will also be available.

World-class mixologist Antonio Lai will join hands with professional chocolate connoisseur Katie Chan in an online event exploring Johnnie Walker whisky and chocolate pairing on November 7.

Participants can enter a draw to win one of the 15 four-day, three-night cruise packages with twin accommodation in a seaview balcony stateroom on the ship.

From next Wednesday to November 28, the Bar City Tasting Journey on Genting Dream will offer two different drink packages - "Totally Tipples" and "Tipples & Nibbles" - which include unlimited beverages.

Guests can grab a special signature drink at each of the four unique bars in Bar City.

"Tipples & Nibbles" package holders will be able to enjoy Mediterranean-themed cocktails and tapas, with a selection of Nordic cocktails also becoming available from November 12.

Guests can enjoy Latin spirit, such as brandy, whiskey, tequila, and dance along to the performances by the ship's professional dancers after dinner every night.

There will be whiskey profiling workshops hosted by Jonathan Macey, founder and chief executive of Macey & Sons.

Guests can enjoy a free film festival featuring five movies on wine and champagne, including Somm, A year in Champagne and A Seat at the Table, from November 3 to 9.

Leading speakers and experts in the field will deliver talks and workshops on designated sailings from November 3 to 28.

HKTB earlier announced that this year's Wine and Dine Festival will move from the usual venue at Central Harbourfront to over 400 restaurants across the city throughout November.

The event was held virtually for the first time last year and a hybrid format will be continued this year.
