Ontolo shows off fresh Japandi styleProperty | Staff reporter 29 Apr 2021
The market atmosphere has been positive and new projects are being launched one after another. Among them, Ontolo at Pak Shek Kok in Tai Po provides 723 units of various sizes, while Novum East in Quarry Bay provides 464 units that are mainly small-sized.
Ontolo, developed by Great Eagle Holdings, is opening two show flats. The one based on the layout of room A on the 12th floor of Tower 9A is particularly worth noting, as the four-bedroom, 1,224-square-feet unit has been redesigned in Japandi-style to offer three bedrooms.
By creating lines with various materials, the designer has created a peaceful and fresh ambience in the space.
Upon entering the house, a spacious living room with a light wooden floor and ceiling welcomes you.
To match the organic and minimalistic aesthetic, the coffee table, low stools and TV cabinet are all made of wood as well, while a dark grey fabric sofa makes a statement.
A glass sliding door connects the living room and the balcony, where residents may enjoy a view of the gardens below and the Tolo Harbour.
The balcony is also spacious enough for some tables and chairs, allowing for the space to be transformed into your own cozy private retreat.
The dining room echoes the Japandi style with more wooden furniture, while black cushioning on the dining chairs matches the sofa's tone.
A rectangular lighting fixture adds lines and layers to the room, while monochrome abstract paintings strengthen the theme.
The master suite is roomy enough for the bed to be floated in the middle, facing the large glass windows that feature a sea view.
Bedside tables and lamps on both sides complete the classy and well-balanced room, while small sofas and floor lamps are used to fill up and accentuate the remaining space.
There is also a cloakroom in the suite, where a full-length wardrobe and dressing table are installed.
Ontolo offers 723 units, with layouts ranging from one to four bedrooms and areas between 356 and 2,083 sq ft. The project also features duplex low-rise units with an area of 2,775 to 3,098 sq ft.
Novum East, developed by Henderson Land, also opened its show flats for visits.
With an area of 293 sq ft, the one-bedroom unit modeled after flat C on the 32nd floor has a square layout with a rectangular living room and an open kitchen.
The unit also features a terrace, where residents can enjoy the sea view and get some fresh air. Facing the same direction as the living room, the bedroom also boasts a sea view and has a working balcony to increase outdoor activity space.
The residential building provides 464 units, with layouts ranging from studio flats to two-bedroom units and areas between 193 sq ft and 451 sq ft. The smallest unit is a studio flat on the third floor, with an area of 193 sq ft, though it comes with a 206-sq-ft balcony.
A clubhouse of more than 10,000 sq ft is on the second floor of the building, where the banquet hall, landscaped garden, outdoor swimming pool and multimedia room are also located.
The fitness room features top-tier equipment such as "Queenax The Corner," allowing residents to stay healthy and have fun in their leisure time.
