Buyers get taste of home at two developmentsProperty | Staff reporter 1 Apr 2021
Grande Monaco in Kai Tak, developed by Wheelock Properties, has opened its standard flats to potential home buyers.
The flat is based on the layout of unit A on the 28th floor of block 1A. With an area of 827 square feet, the three-bedroom one-suite unit also has a balcony and a storeroom.
At a height of 3.15 meters, the unit provides a spacious living area. As it spans most sides of the building, residents may enjoy a beautiful southeastern view of Victoria Harbour in both the living room and the bedrooms.
The developer says the units are targeted at people with large families or those who intend to upgrade to a new apartment.
To effectively make use of space, the unit does not come with an entrance hall, and the door leads directly to a regular living room.
Floor-to-ceiling glass sliding doors in the living room, which enhance indoor lighting, lead to a 28-sq-ft balcony.
One interesting feature of the unit is that the living room comes with a smart home security camera, through which the residents may monitor their home in real-time via the internet.
The spacious master bedroom allows for a king-sized bed to be placed in the center and not against any walls. Space is also reserved for a wardrobe, which could be refitted into a storeroom.
The two remaining bedrooms are practically designed with big windows to let in more natural light.
The kitchen with an L-shaped countertop has a high-end oven and stove preinstalled. A range hood and a ventilation fan are also provided, along with ample large storage space in shelves.
Within the kitchen is a utility room with a window that strengthens indoor ventilation and increases brightness.
A bathtub and thermo-ventilator are placed in both bathrooms of the unit so that residents may rest and relax after a busy day.
Grande Monaco provides a total of 247 units, with areas ranging from 332 sq ft to 1,679 sq ft; 206 of them are high-floor units.
Besides the four featured flats, the remaining 202 high-floored units are all standard ones, ranging from one to four bedrooms.
Meanwhile, 128 Waterloo, developed by Top Spring International and Chun Wo Development, has opened three show flats for visiting, including a unit based on the layout of unit H on the 18th floor.
The 1,258-sq-ft unit has four bedrooms and two suites. Using turquoise and beige colors, the designer decorated the unit to be luxurious yet comfortable. Its contemporary European style, complete with touches of metal elements, creates a sense of chic and elegance.
The rectangular living room has a place for a dining table, while a floor-to-ceiling glass sliding door on the other end of the living room leads to the balcony. The sliding doors and windows on opposite sides of the room allow for cross-ventilation, enhancing indoor air quality.
The project provides a total of 110 units with areas ranging from 331 to 3,445 sq ft and offers flats of one to five bedrooms.
