CAIS anticipates new opportunities ahead with the beginning of Phase II of its campus development.

The second phase will focus on amenities that empower the well-rounded development for students.

Major facilities for sports, performing arts are envisioned to be added. As part of its Phase II development, a second gymnasium will be built. Together, the two gymnasia can hold different sports tournaments for students. In addition, a rooftop seven-a-side soccer pitch will also be added.

Fine and performing arts facilities will also be enhanced with the completion of a performance hall with fully equipped dressing rooms and backstage accommodating up to 600 guests.

A music floor with Orchestra Rehearsal Room, music rooms for group practice will be in place to echo the school's specialized orchestral training program.

At the ceremony, head of school Richard Vanderpyl said: "The Kowloon Tong Church of The Chinese Christian and Missionary Alliance started its first school back in the 50s, and the vision of the church then was for a Christian school having a Christ-centered curriculum.

"The same vision we hold fast to today, Christian Alliance International School is about transformation. And it is so appropriate that we are located in Butterfly Valley. The metamorphosis, the transformation of a caterpillar into a butterfly, is a beautiful analogy of what is at the heart of this school. Transformation is our purpose; transformation is in our DNA".

Also at the ceremony were Jeff Nankivell, the consul general of Canada in Hong Kong and Macau, Ambrose Cheung Wing-sum, chairman of the Sham Shui Po district council, and Chan Cheuk-ming of Pei Ho Counterparts.
