Did you know that the right learning environment has a strong influence on learning outcomes? Located in Sai Kung, Hong Kong Academy has a purpose built facility designed on sustainable principles that both inspire creative and critical thinking as well asminimise impact on the environment. Close to the Sai Kung shoreline and within easy walking distance of Sai Kung town, the building is filled with natural light and has outstanding libraries, sports, music and theatre facilities. It also contains many flexible green spaces, outdoor Playscapes and organic gardens, which early years teachers use to stimulate curiosity and extend learning beyond the classroom. Early years students at HKA also participate in regular, off-campus outdoor explorations where they connect with the natural world and build independence whilst interacting with their local surroundings. HKA's Early Years philosophy states that "learning happens best in the early years through play, exploration and inquiry"; with an educational framework based on the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme, early years programmes include a Playgroup for 2-3 year olds, half day Pre-K1 and 2 classes for under 5's and a full day Kindergarten class for 5-6 year olds. Intentionally small class sizes, specialist teacher instruction and an integrated Wellbeing programme mean that each student is understood and encouraged to flourish as an individual.

HKA admissions are now open for 2020-21 with spaces available in all early years grade levels. Visit hkacademy.edu.hk/admissions to sign up for an open house or arrange a personalised family tour.
